Anti-Fog Solutions
 

Hey, is there any brand of spray on Anti-fog or anything similar anyone can recommend for ballistic goggles. I've got some Wiley-X SG-1s (used, but just acquired) and I love them but the fog is bad when I'm standing still and I think a good anti-fog treatment might do the trick. Thanks for the help!

FYI Nothing works on Wileys, overpriced, crapola. I suggest just keeping them on, after the plastic gets to the same temp as your body, it seems to somewhat reduce the fog, albeit marginally. Canadian Tire AOS goggles are WAY more bang for your buck. Wileys work in the desert and no where else. Fog Tech is probably the best thing I have used in years but, it still won't defeat the shitty Wileys. The Wileys with the V-cut lenses still don't defeat the fog problem.

Not even something the uber Sunlight dish soap can defeat?
I've been seriously considering wiley's with Rx lenses and I'm curious if I should rethink my options.

I used to sell antifog solution, stopped because I didn't get enough interest.

It's not commercialy for sale, but it's the same stuff that large ski hills and professional skiers and snowboarders use for their goggles.

I wear both the Romers and the CQC's and have very little problems with fogging, about the same as any others I have used.

Yes, they do work better in drier conditions same as any others.

Despite the fact that you retail it how is the stuff you listed farmboy? Is it better or worse than fog tech?

Actually its one of the few products I carry that I have never used. I have never had a fogging problem enough to warrent using any.

spit in your goggles, it works. seriously.

Sea Drops...Recce God turned me onto it and it really is the cats ass. My goggles were fogging up something fierce but this shit really cut it. Pick it up at any dive shop for under 10 bucks.

I agree with ex-royal. Sea Drops have always work for me.

Anyone here washed theirs with dish-soap, then shampoo? I did it and it worked, because I remembered a bobsleigh driver saying it once at a school presentation back years ago. It works for a day or two, but you have to repeat it periodically. Maybe the soap or shampoo doesn't let water stick to it, so no fog, but your body flakes off and sticks to the shampoo layer and then fog sticks to that?

I wonder if Pam would work?

A cheaper alternative to these fancy and expensive sprays is to use plain old shampoo or shower gel.

Just put a small amount onto your lense, give it a good rub round then leave it for 30 seconds or so before polishing it off.

Does the job great.
