If the UTG MP5 faithfully cloned the TM nozzle, you can probably use a TM's.

It didnt its one of the few differances between them. Your pretty much sol but i do believe the neonfire guns use the same flash supressor.

TheDragoon November 12th, 2005 23:07

Yea its one of the things diffrent from the TM's

So im trying to see where i can get one that will fit

Its not worth the trouble when you can just paint it.

mcguyver November 13th, 2005 01:37

go to crappy tire and get a paint formulated for plastics and abs in the automotive section (they call it trim paint). it will stick the best. for about 9 bucks you can paint it in about 10 minutes. finding one with those threads won't be easy.

TheDragoon November 13th, 2005 01:50

Would that be the best way of painting it?

Or will a flat black spray paint be better?

mcguyver November 13th, 2005 01:56

if you get the trim paint it's usually flat black (just like the trim on you're car or truck) it's pretty durable and withstands temp changes and moisture. i would sand the flashider with a 240 grit automotive sandpaper to scuff it up some them apply a series of light coats. may take a few for complete coverage. make sure to wait an hour or so between to let each coat set up. make sure to get the inside of the flashider as well (mostly around the tip as it may still be visible).

should he tape the threads up or would it be ok?

Penguin November 13th, 2005 02:02

It would make more sense just to mask the threads, they will be inside the gun so the orange isn't an issue. It would just be safer not to bother painting over the threads.

mcguyver November 13th, 2005 02:03

you can tape the threads if you want, but with the smooth finish on that plastic, the paint probably won't adhere that well there. not a bad idea though.

Yeah, let's get ourselves a big shiny tip... if they make flat black sharpies, I will withdraw my comment.

By the way, grave digger.
