Will this be seized?

I want to purchase a replica Kevlar vest form overseas, but im not too sure if it will make it through customs.

since they might think its a real Kevlar vest, and shipping a real Kevlar vest might be prohibited, so i need to know if it will make it or not.

-_-

When you say a replica kevlar vest... you mean like non-real kevlar inserts right? With foams and stuff?
If so, it will be safe to ship.

I've bought a Delta Force Body armor replica once from US, and it went through without problem.

btw... I like your avatar LoL

Why is it illegal to import actual Kevlar vests to Canada? Its more defensive than offensive item.

Body armor is not a controlled item in Canada. Sellers are generally cautious though (and rightfully so) with whom they'll sell it to. Speaking of which, anyone want to buy my Second Chance SUPERfeatherlite Level II? Don't need it since I got my Monarch Summit. Boy do I miss my Ultima IIIA.

Tasers and stun guns are prohibited weapons by Order in Council.

I'm not sure about the import laws, but would you really want every criminal/gangster/gang banger to get their hands on body armour?

Secondly, due to U.S. export laws and regulations, it is illegal to export anything with ballistic properties, such as MICH/ACH helmets, body armour, trauma plates, etc.

Depends, it would eliminate the cops liability for going for a head shot...

Anyways, it requires a fixed address, and court orders can prohibit it to certain individuals as well... It's that kind of thinking that got over half the world's firearms banned in the first place.

Yep, the only controlled armour is hard plates, and coming from the States. They require an export permit on their side, nothing to do from here.

Soft armour, provided it isn't military issue, is fully importable via trackable carrier. My next order is from www.bulletproofme.com , they haven't had an issue with a canadian customer yet, and their positioned in the USA.

Absolutely, but realize, it's pretty big... A few dollars more, and you can look at surplus REAL bulletproof vests, even an old fragmentation vest...
