Need help finding 12 inch RIS for M4
 

Hello,

I just got a KJW M4, and I'm trying to find a 12 inch rail system for it, though I'm having a hard time finding exactly what I want. All the rail systems I see these days are the keymod style, and I'm looking for a full 20mm rail on all 4 sides. I really like the Noveske 12.6, but no retailers, even outside of Canada, seem to have it, or any other non-keymod style RAS in stock.

This is what I'm planning for my gun, it will give you an idea of what I'm looking for.

Also, does anyone know of a suppresor that mounts over the barrel? I'd like the keep the stock barrel length of 14.5 inches, but I love the look of the suppressor inside the rail like that.

Maybe a dual threaded silencer, with one end bored out?

You are going to need a 13 inch or so rail and an inner barrel thats aprox 10.5 inches long in order to get what youre looking for.

theres no exact 12 inch rail system from what i know. they do have 12.5 inch rail. You can go for the DD MK18 RIS II Rail. its 12.5inches long. Pretty good length, or try the KAC URX2 rail.

alternatively imo you could use the URX III rail and add on the rail panels yourself and make it look like the URX II?

Just a few options that appear in stock... I don't have any experience with either retailer but are both very established vendors.

This ^ and most free float rails you can fit a non wratchet style silencer in them. They tend to be more trouble then they are worth though. That's why you normally see a 7.5-10.5" rail on a 14.5" berral and if you are going to use a silencer it's sticking out.

Thanks for your help everyone, I went with the URX II.

I'll leave the silencer part of it alone for now, maybe I'll look at making my own can for it. I don't really want to go to a shorter barrel, as I'd like to have the flexibility of taking the silencer off and still having the longer outer barrel there. Oh well, I'll figure something out.
