field fps limits

May be a silly question to ask, but what would be the fps limit at most fields?

Hectic July 11th, 2013 15:11

It varies provence to provence but in general
400fps for outdoor (450 for bolt actions)
350fps for indoor.

ah ok, was just wondering cause i'm probably going to start playing at the local fields near campbell river in the next month or so.

Oh, you mean that club up there that has a 540fps limit with no enforced MED?

That's ridiculous. I guess they don't do semi-only either then

codywc July 11th, 2013 16:36

That would be painfull to get hit by

NANA July 11th, 2013 16:45

540 with no MED is asking for problems. I am all for big boy rules but there has to be a line that you dont cross. Saftey should always come first. We are just out to have fun and play a game after all.

TurlteRaph July 11th, 2013 18:52

May not be a good idea for your first time out

codywc July 11th, 2013 19:04

No i don't think that would be lol

codywc July 11th, 2013 19:07

Right now for gear i only have 2 crossman stinger p9t pistols with an 275fps each, i'm slowly working towards more

codywc July 11th, 2013 19:23

i just thought it would be good to check first before i go to buy an airsoft gun and find i cant use it on the field.

more... crappy tire guns?
You're better off saving your money and getting some decent starter gear, honestly everyone starts by saying its "too expensive" right now i've seen kingarms full metal m4's go for 250$ and AK's going for under 200$ which is the price of what? 2 of those plastic panther arms "on duty" kits or 4 pistols?
to add to that the guns you buy have 0 aftermarket support vs the other guns where if something breaks its a cheap and easy fix vs buying a whole new gun, not to mention the amount of upgrades available.

codywc July 11th, 2013 19:33

yeah there crappy tire guns, but for the moment im on a budget due to other bills. i am currently working on saving up and getting better quality airsoft guns though
