Mandatory things needed for airsoft.

Hey guys,
I want to make a list of things I will need in order to play airsoft. So what are the bare minimums, and what do you recommend?
i.e. 3 spare magazines, 3000 BB's, a primary and secondary, etc?

Thanks!

Hey there

I don't want to sound too harsh but your question is very generic. There could hundreds of valid answers. That being said, it turns out there ARE a few tens (probably hundred) of answers to exactly that kind of question all around the forum. Help yourself and do some searching and reading, you'll be glad you did

There's a ton of threads already on this. There's some stickied threads too.

Some of the threads might be along the lines of "What's a good starter gun"..."How much to budget"..."Just starting"

You'll find recommendations and lots of detail/options/budgets/priorities/etc...about boots, eye protection, guns, kit, etc...

Goggles.
Primary.
2 mid cap magazines.
Battery.
Charger.
Loader.
2000 BB Bastard .20's

This is the average bare minimum. Expand from there.

^ what he said. Some games will allow you to play with high caps, some not. But a gun, goggles, highcap, battery/charger and BBs are the absolute bare minimum to skirmish.

Having a couple mid caps is still good since reloading a highcap in a firefight sucks balls.

For me (in no particular order):

Goggles
Primary
5 Low caps
Batteries (one spare, all charged the night before)
Ammo (whatever I have, usually at least a bag of 2000-3000)
Speedloader
Small cleaning kit (oil, silcone spray, unjamming rods)
Secondary w/ 2 mags
Vest
Extra layer (fleece, usually)
Helmet/other headdress
Water
Snacks
Propane/CO2
Kill Rag/Glowstick
Small flashlight
Paper+Pen
Watch
GasCan

I've never seen anything easier to reload. When you can't wind it anymore, you just slide the top open, and pour handfulls of BBs directly into the mag, and wind some more. No need for speedloader.

what you need first ..

Isn't that essentially a "google it" post?
Even I read the rules.
Don't want to be an ass, but this is the newbie tank.

Okay, while you drop your mag, reach into your pocket, dig out your bag of BBs, open the door to mag, and start calmly dropping BBs into the mag, what do you think the other guy you've just been exchanging fire with is doing; having tea?

Noob tank or not, you admitted you did not try very hard to find the plethora of threads created to avoid posts like yours. You said you read the rules yet you neglected to try using the search function or to read through the FAQ's!

So you still want to call Brian out?

Jimski October 16th, 2012 16:21

battery charger
anti fog
kill rag (can be an orange cap from CT)
water
food
kerchief
change of clothes for after the game
boots
kneepads
mag pouches
dump pouch is a plus
facemask is a plus
a bag for all this crap

you'll enjoy probably more having 6 to 10 mags than 2.
