Lycan's Introduction
Hello everyone,
I'm new to these forums, and I'm from New Zealand. I'm not Canadian, however I think that the community on these forums is a great one and I hope that none of you mind that I'm not from Canada. I'm 14 years old, and I play airsoft at a CQB Arena. I understand that some of you might be concerned about the fact that I'm only 14, however please know that I am (Or at least I like to think I am) very mature. Please get to know me before you judge me. I play airsoft very seriously as a sport and I've loved it since I used my first airsoft gun a few years ago. My main hobbies include airsoft, mountain biking and gaming. I'm very goal oriented, and as such I like to set goals and achieve them as I feel that setting goals is the first thing you should do when you want to achieve something. My previous goal was to custom build my own gaming pc, and pay for all of the parts myself. I achieved that goal just over a month ago. My current goal is to build an airsoft race pistol to skirmish with at my local field. I'm after a gun that is reliable, accurate and has a fast, crisp and light recoil. My goal is to only buy the best parts - Excluding my holster, I'm just going to get one of those clone speed holsters for now, however eventually I hope to upgrade to a real IPSC holster - so that I know that my gun is the best that it can be and I can rely on it no matter what. This probably sounds a bit frivolous however it is one of my main goals and I intend to achieve it. That's about it for my introduction... Please know that I take airsoft very seriously and despite my age I would never do anything that could harm the sport such as taking airsoft guns into public or breaking any laws regarding firearms. If you want to know anything else about me, then feel free to leave a reply and I will read and respond as soon as I can. Hopefully in time I can become a well known member of the thriving community you have here. Lycan. |
Welcome!

Don't worry about being underage. Different cultures different views.
Here IMO a lot of kids here are spoiled brats (and I'll admit when I was younger that included myself as well). Over in NZ well I assume it's a different culture and view towards shooting. Hell, there's 6 year olds competing in IPSC in the Philippines so yeah you're never too young to learn about shooting but how it's taught and the general views of the citizens of that country is a different story. Great introduction and welcome hope you achieve your end goal and learn a lot from us. I recently started a custom gun project and it took me about 3 years to get it all together and figured out, so yeah anything you can imagine is probably doable subject to local laws of course (eg. I think you're only allowed semi auto in NZ?). PS: I think you also replied to that manchovie thread as well, this is why we can't have nice things. |
Welcome! Feel free to share some pictures if you have any of your events :)
Always interesting to see the other side of the fence, especially when it's a few fences down. |
Hi there, I'm also not from Canada too, but I think this community is a good airsoft community, and i too hope that they don't mind my presence here.

Thank you everyone for the warm welcomes.
@L473, the only restriction in New Zealand (as far as I'm aware) is that guns need to be converted to semi auto only. @Forever_kaos, I've never actually thought of taking any pictures, however if I remember to I will and I might post some pictures of the field too. I'm hoping to buy a helmet cam soon (My brother needs one for biking and I want it for airsoft, so it will be half of the price) and I can link you guys to some videos when I get it :) |
