Looking for a cheaper holster.
 

I did a quick search and I didn't find anything.

I'm looking for a holster that will fit a glock 17/18 with an x300 light. I'd really like not to spend $100.00+ for one.

Anyone know of any cheaper holsters that might do the trick?

While waiting for my TM G17 in the mail, I've been watching the threads pop up on the forum as other people receive theirs and ask about holsters. This is the nicest and most compact solution I've seen posted yet.

That said -- this will definitely fit a TM G17 snugly, correct? Should I at all be worried about how secure it is?

I personally don't know, as I haven't tried. I have a few buddies who got the CP GC, and they love it.

As for worrying about security - I wouldn't worry about security. Once it snaps shut, the gun isn't going anywhere, even if it's wobbly. With that said, I've heard people mention TM Glock frames being slightly wider than real steel (I can not corroborate as I've no personal experience), so it may actually a bit more snug, if anything.

Worst case scenario: hit the offending areas with a file. I think it's an awesome solution and worth the effort.

I like that it can rotate 360 and mount anywhere without any additional hardware. Very minimalist but, I guess what they say is true, sometimes less is more.

Totally adjustable as advertised, but very cheap quality nylon. A lot of fraying (now fixed by my lighter)

Alright.. I think I'm going to try the Crye GunClip.. If anyone is patient and sitting on the fence, I will gladly review it and take some pictures or whatever, and do some stress tests.

I've beaten the crap out of one of those for nearly 2 years with a desert eagle in it ... once you get it set to the pistol it's great... I basically cinched it down as tight as I could and left the pistol in it for a week, going back to check/retighten it every day or two

If you go too cheap like some cloth holsters, you run the risk of losing your pistol. Personally I'll never use a cloth holster for any of my pistols (unless I have something like a Desert Eagle, which doesn't fit in anything) because the possibility of it coming out with only a small cloth strap holding it in is too high.

Pay a little more now for a good holster, or pay a lot more for another pistol later.

I order a fair bit of knife making stuff (ok, paracord and Kydex sheets, plus hardware) from the US, if it's under $100 you shouldn't get dinged for taxes or duty/brokerage. Last order I got was around $78USD total, and I just picked it up at CP and walked out. Previous orders over $100 I have to pay about $26 brokerage and taxes.

Shipping, don't go cheap and choose USPS, likely take up to three weeks to get it, go with FedEx or whatever carrier they offer you. For something that's $50USD and small, likely shipping and duty/brokerage (if any) shouldn't be much more than $40. If I placed an order for $50 and went FedEx expensive, it'd likely cost me about $20-25 for shipping, BUT, I'd have it in a day or two.

Yea the Gunclip is a great setup. I was planning to get one for my new TM glock 17. Do you guys order straight from CP or from some other place?

I was going to buy one too, but it's such a hassle when transitioning from rifle to pistol and then back, you would need to open and close the clip.
Also, it's hard to speed draw on pressure.
