is this bad? If so, how bad?

Styrak April 19th, 2011 18:48

Yes, anime characters inside a mechbox is very serious problem.
You should get that looked at.

coach April 19th, 2011 19:07

yes sounds stupid. looks fine to me though. what other than the anime toy is an issue to you?

zone 69 April 19th, 2011 19:21

I think he referring to that theres no piston guide on the right side of the M-box.

Thenooblord April 19th, 2011 19:22

he may be talking about the fact that the piston guide rail has been cut out of his mechbox shell?

damn just beat me

As you say it; i see it now... Me to was just seeing the maga.

Wow... What kind of m4 is that? Bound to fail miserably.

coach April 19th, 2011 19:45

Doesn't look cut out to me and the slots 'are' the piston guides.

Danke April 19th, 2011 19:55

Maybe he means the way the spring is all snaked up and the piston is at half stroke?

I will guess Ares or SRC.

HKGhost April 19th, 2011 20:52

Looks like a KWA M4 to me (probably wrong) . The guide rails are cut, but why? The only thing that's kinda keeping the piston align is the sector gear. I predict lots of worn pistons for that gun.

Also, if the purpose is to reduce contact for the piston, it would be better to remove the guide rails from the piston instead.

coach April 19th, 2011 21:06

now that I'm at a computer with a larger screen, it does kid of look cut. I can't see why anyone would go through the trouble of doing that though.

Boyso April 19th, 2011 23:07

To me it looks like a bolt mod. You cut this opening, add a small part that gets caught by the piston dragging back the fake bolt that will slam back in when the piston cycles back.

Look for the thompson bolt mod on youtube. Pretty sure it's it.

RaisinBran April 19th, 2011 23:43

Not an Ares M4 that I know of...

Mine has the sides still there. My friend has a JG with a mechbox just like that, well I think it was a JG.

TBH I didn't do anything to it, hell the guide rail popped off when I opened which by the looks of it, was already broken before I checked

Oh and on a side note, please ignore the angry lesbian back there

Styrak April 20th, 2011 00:05

What kind of gun is it (brand)? Is it brand new or are you a second/third/fourth owner etc?

Boyso April 20th, 2011 00:22

yeah i just thought it looked like what a previous owner could've done without telling you.
