How should a vest fit?
 

Hey guys I just bought a vest and I like it but I have no idea if it's supposed to fit snug or a little loose? Does it depend on preference or does it even really matter? I was way to excited at the time to even really think about it. lol

Tighten that sucker up. There should be tabs or straps or velcro or something along those lines. Almost all vests are adjustable.

And say if its as tight as it can go? Would you recommend me getting a different one lol

Sinching the thing as tight as it will go is more important for chest rigs than full out tacvests. Just size the vest to snug so your mags won't be flopping around as you run. The rest is personal preference, but it looks too loose in that picture.

Does the back/sides of the vest have straps or paracord adjustments?

yes

they should fit snugly on your body.
not tight so it constrains movement
but not so losse as for it to "fly" around while jogging/running

It has cords for adjusting. Well sense I'm not going to get a new one anytime soon lol. I'm going to have to make this one snug and save up for a better one in the future. Thanks for everything guys.

How I do it is:
Tighten until it stops bouncing.
Sit down on a chair and lean forward, adjust until you can go pretty far comfortably, without it riding up too high.
Also take a couple breaths as large as you can, if you feel any resistance its too tight.

Cinch it down so it fits your waist and that should at least prevent the vest from bouncing around as much. It works for me, I am average sized and those style tac vests are always so big. Hope that helps!

Where it however you wan to a long as it's comfortable and you can access your important shit fast I you had mag pouches high on the vest wear it lower if you has stuff on the sides loosen it a bit so you can maneuver it so you can reach them. Whatever YOU are comfortable with is how you Gould wear it

If you hook it into your belt and the shoulders are adjustable, try to leave enough room to comfortably hook your thumbs and wiggle them a bit between the vest and your shoulders.

If your neck and shoulders don't have enough room to move freely and expand, your spine will be compressed, and over the course of a game this will lead to lower back pain.

Keep in mind that those vest are ment to be used over armor.
You should at least be confortable in it and able to move around and bend.

Take a deep breath, and tighten it up to that. It should be snug, but not restrict breathing
