Battery Charger... where to buy?
 

I know this question has probably been touched and I see a few links relating to this... but where has every one bought there battery charger?

I have a NiMA battery and willing to pay a 100..ish for the charger, though it be nice to save some $$$ :D

Ive done some searches on the net and I cant find the charger I want... and yes I have looked at the FAQ

Whats annoying me is that I keep seeing chargers that come or need power supplies... all I wast in an AC adapter input :rolleyes:

Go to your local hobby store, they should be able to suggest something good for you.
Otherwise, order online.

It's a bit bulky, but way better than any other charger in the same price range.

I love you.... :D Amazing price... features I wanted... BUT it says its a 180-240V input and arnt North American plugs 110v?

Oh and would I need any extra adapters for the battery to plug into the charger?

It's a typo. Should have read 120/240.

You will need what ever adapter your battery is using.
The charger has detachable leads, with a set of banana plug. You can either cut the original connector and install your own, or order a charge lead for an other charger that fits your need. Banana plugs for chargers is the standard. All high-end ones use this.

power supply is included which basically looks like a small laptop power block. plus it comes with a lot of premade adapters and spare connector to adjust for your needs.

now, my TLP fuzzy logic charger has a built in power supply and plug directly into an A/C outlet. no wall wart or power block but it does cause the charger to heat up a little more so making sure the fans are working and clear are important when fast charging.

is there a such thing as "Quality" other than they all support different amounts of functionality... because buying this from the states is going to be 50 + 30 for shipping + border tax :(

I do love this charger... I dont care that a power surply is built in or not but yeah with everything its going to get up to the same price of a $100 charger to ship here in canada!

Whats my best bet... try to go to a local and buy a $100 charger or buy this one which is valued at half the price?

And between the All-in-one chargers and the ones without a power supplies that's why there is a big jump in price, right?

Best way to kill your batteries.

I've yet to kill any myself or hear any feedback from the hundreds I've sold :P

Every one I know that used this charger killed his batteries.
Ask LongBong. He killed 2-3 brand new 50$ packs on it under a month.

The charger I linked is the same as the e-Sation Bantam. Difference is that is has backlit LDC and software update.

If you order from hobbyking, first they are in HonkKong. Second, I have yet to pay customs for items arriving from them. They have some sort of database server with all the fake invoices they put in the packages, so when the borders cross check with HK, it matches. You can access it with the URL on the invoice (printed one, not the online one).

The black PSU that is included is probably added by airsoftparts as the charger when sold anywhere else online does not have it. The linked PSU is a LOT better in both consistency (yes, it is important) and power. The only other difference is useless (the bunch of cables). The Turnigy one comes with a JX connector (new type that is used a lot in asia, along with the EC3) and an adapter cable with aligator clip. You can buy an adapter from JX to anything from their website at the same time for 2-3$.

I bought 2 from jeff and they have not killed my batteries our friends yet. Now I know a friend who did buy the same model but from another site though and it crapped out. I guess its just the ones Jeff sells that work well :p

Thanks man XD answered all my questions... except... Im given the option on HobbyKing to declare on the package the percent value of the total value of everything I bought at checkout. Shouldn't I be putting 100%... legally? :confused: I have the option to declare between 10-100%.

Mini Tamiya is your connector.
Check for polarity. Some clone batteries/AEG have reversed wires.

PSU = Power Supply Unit, the second part in the post I sent you. You need that to convert 110v AC to 12-14V DC.

I always declare 30%. As I told you, they have a server database just for the fake invoices...
