My latest custom : C8A3 GBB
 
Hello, at last it is complete, thanks to a few guys from Canada - may a 1000 angels protect you from harm (and small arms).

The base is the KJ Works M4 and that's why the pictures show it with the obsolete Thermomold magazines. A firm in the US is working on USGI mags so until then...

Hello

Small update on the project :

I wasn't super happy with the barrel finish - it was a real poor job from the chinese factory. But because the barrel is steel, it was possible to refinish it.

This was achieved by sanding the finish off, back to bare steel. I then parkerized it myself with a home made manganese based phosphate solution (the same as Diemaco uses). The darker shade of the sleeve was achieved, like on the RS, by making the protective layer thicker than on the barrel itself.

Not too bad for an home made job...

I'll post pictures of the whole gun later - it now has the proper laser designator (the basic model)

I want to build one of these. is there a retailer selling the RS furniture somewhere?

A C8 GBBR would be a nice build :)
