search function broken?????noooooooooooooooooo
 

this is not a joke. i am having a total melt down here. the search function doesn't wanna work for me.


i became serous about it when i want to search up something about finding another snipers scope. looking at how to reduce the glare your scope gives off potentially reducing chances of being found. i was told you could find some one this way. (that's what i was originally searching for) it came up with nothing zip. OK fine lets narrow it to sniper scope. still nothing. so i dropped it to 1 word scope nothing again. then i ran a search on m4 ak g36 famas and came up with nothing another 4 times. i looked in the Dr coroner there's plenty of threads on those topics search cant find none of them.



sob sob cry cry i want my search function back. I am not a happy camper. Please tell me I am not the only one.

That's a strange problem. Works fine for me too.

I think I had a problem like this many moons ago, but I can't remember what I did to fix it.. was very drunk at the time. Have you been forking with your virus or firewall settings lately?

My vscan and fwall settings have been the same for the past month.

At least I can post a stupid question and have the lagitamit excuse my search feature isn't working. By stupid I mean a question you can normaly find answer to by serching.

The only way is to use an example; scope.

Then tell us EXACTLY, step by step, what you write, where you write it, how you write it, what search options you choose, where you tell the engine to search, etc.

As for the scope glare, think about it. By the time someone even sees the glare of your scope they are dead, or you are. Use an extended tube on the front end.

Now common sense would say I went to ascs search fold down entered in my words to search his the go button and get this message
"Please specify some words or valid user names to search on. There were no matches for those that you specified". No mater what options I pick its a general thing. I could put "kiss my ass" and get the same results as I am getting for "scope" or "scope glare". Also the problem happened suddenly and it still exsists. what i have tryed: turning off protection software(all of it), closing and reopining browser, restarting computer, clearing cookies and temps. Any one got any bright ideas I am more then open to them.

Not meant to be offensive it just might come off offensive as you cant tell a persions tone over the net.

if you need any thing else search just post. if you still cant search any thing start up your on thread. "help me search" :p

Much rather have my search back and working. Then have to ask others because I do about a search an hour some times.

Which search function are you using? Did you use the "search this thread" or "search this forum" or "advanced search"?

Okay, no offense meant but your posts are full of typos. Are you 100% sure you made no typos in your search? And like HoJo just asked, again, exactly what did you try, step by step?
Because all the Search options of this site work fine for me too.

Looks like the problem is on your end, and we cant be there to look over your shoulder to figure it out.

The search function is still broken. and i did explain the one that doesn't work. i can easily search for stuff posted in topics/threads with the "search this thread" tool

to get more precise go to the bar that has home forums classifieds user cp search and select search anything i can access from that little drop done wont work. so yes that's advanced search as well.

as for typos here's a fresh search i am going to copy the words in quotes and search it and post the results

You forgot to add the one in your post.

Unless not being age-verified prevents searches in the classifieds, you are still the only person facing this problem.

The search doesn't work for me either. It did last week, but not anymore.

hmm. neither one of you are age verrified, starting to see a pattern. not that my observation helps any. but perhaps given your problem starting a help me search thread wouldn't be a bad idea. there are probably others out there who may not have noticed the problem yet.

At this point, just PM HonestJohn and ask him.
