P90 Or G36c

Hey,

I 've read reviews on both the P90 and the G36C, but I want to get people's opinions on which gun is better. Both guns are awesome and I don't know which one to get. If I were to buy either of these guns, it would mostly be for woodland, but I would put a barrel through the P90 silencer and maybe a silencer on the G36C with barrel for longer range and CQB. Which is better and more reliable for CQB and woodland? Does anyone know where I could get mag pouches for the P90, if I decided to get it? I was also wondering how bad the hi-caps actually are for the P90 and if there was anyway to fix the problem. Can you please give me reasons for your choices, this would help me make my decision.

It would be appreciated if people that have no positive comments to add to this thread please not post.

Thanks.

G36c.

Aquamarine October 11th, 2005 21:26

What feels better to you?

There's your answer.

Digital_Assasin October 11th, 2005 21:29

Umm guess which one I would choose.

-Trooper- October 11th, 2005 21:41

lol, but I need reasons why to buy the G36c and not the P90

deep in the bush October 11th, 2005 21:41

Well, I could start by telling you about the limited amount of accessories a P90 has, and how you won't look as 1337 as everyone else who has all kinds of useless shit hanging off their gun, but that would be lame.

How about that P90 mags suck - the hicaps blow ass, and it's a bastard to try and find a decent vest or some other LBE to carry mags.

Might also want to include the rarity of locally-available replacement parts for the P90; G36 replacement parts are much easier to get locally.

I can also add on the fact that the P90 RDS is not particularly good, and that if you break it, replacements are both a complete bastard to find and cost an arm and a leg (mine was over $100 + shipping, and it took me a year to find one - overseas).

Good enough?

deep in the bush October 11th, 2005 22:09

ok...sorry...i would honestly go with the g36. i really do like mine. i use it for bush fighitng. it is really good in between the trees. i hope this helps you. its nice when you need to get low.

I have decided to go with a G36, but I need to decide what type:TM G36c, CA36 or CA36K?

Gryph October 11th, 2005 23:07

Heck, I got both of them!

The P90 is my main field weapon, the G36C is secondary when I feel like it.

There are P90 mag pouches out there, you just need to look around online to find them, I got the BHI drop leg model. As for my tac-vest, I modified the flaps on the chest pouches to secure the mags nicely.

The hicap mags are unreliable with high ROFs or long suppression fire, stick to short trigger bursts and they will work fine with very little problems.

As for red-dot scopes, if I recall, the P90TR version is the only P90 model available on the market now.

As most players agree, choose whatever gun fits your interest.

Go TM, than upgrade it to what you like.

Syphen October 11th, 2005 23:14

Go AK! hahaha.

pokey October 11th, 2005 23:29

Both guns are generally short, and the g36 also has the folding stock, i've owned both, and liked both, but my preferance is the g36, more parts/body styles available.

made Man October 11th, 2005 23:30

Or if you want to look like a space alien, go for an AUG :)

Man Solo October 12th, 2005 00:18

I have had a g36, a sig 552, a p90, and an aug. I just went back to the p90 and I dont regret it. It is more accurate than any of my other guns with the exseption of the aug MAYBE, and it had a tightbore m16 barrel. The sig was pretty accurate as well but that was after I put 200 worth of upgrades into it. My p90 has metal bushings and a sp100 and I get 150ft shots at little brother sized targets almost everytime.
At 90 ft I hit a 500 ml bottle of water in one shot.
I am very happy with it.
But you might be happier with a g36 it is up to you.

Oh and skru, the mags are awesome. Way the shit better than dinky m4 mags. With p90 lows you get your moneys worth. I feels like so much mag for your money.

They are not that hard to load meh.. I guess I just like aegs that perform really well.

Tankdude October 12th, 2005 00:28

Do what everone else does.
Get both.
Problem solved.

Man Solo October 12th, 2005 00:39

Best solution ever!
Make an SL8 Sniper out of the g36, and turn the p90 into a cqb beast by doing absolutley nothing!

Well, this is considering the choice limited in confimenent of production to the TR's, which you can definately put a lot of 1337 stuff on :p

(p.s. I also have a vested interest in the outcome of this thread, seeing as I am pretty much 98% sure that I am going to purchase a p90 TR (1.5% goes to SD6, 0.5% goes to G36c..)

Atomic_235 October 12th, 2005 07:35

I like very much the G36C from TM
It is very solid and it is nice! ;)

ssp21 October 13th, 2005 02:35

i own the p90tr and really like it, but i have always loved the look of the gun, even before it started getting used in TV shows and video games, so it was a must buy for me. my buddy has a g36 and i do find it a tad more accurate then the p90 as it has 20ish fps then the p90, but i found the p90shoots faster(i am a shitty shot and usualy miss my first few) and that helps me find the target.

i havent run the highcap for the p90, but i have been advised against it. in defense of the locaps, i have found that generaly if you get in a firefight and need to reload you are probably gonna get killed and the locaps hold around 68 rnds which is usualy enough(with the exception of surpressing fire ofcourse).

the comments about LBV's are also true, there are very few vests that hold the mags, but it can be fixed fairly easy with aome extra strapping.

overall i think the p90 is better suited for cqb and thick bush play when compared to the g36, it's pretty much comes down to what you like and what kind of look you are going for and your style of play. with its smaller size i think the p90 would make a great backup for snipers and for scouts stuck crawling through thick brush.

i know some of these point were covered above, but i wanted to put my two cents in.

jdyahoo October 13th, 2005 03:09

I would go for CA36E.....
hmmm, wait a minute, I already got one~ :innocent:

Are both guns stock? if so adjust your hop and clean your p90. It is more accurate than a g36. also, use only .25 ammo. Or better still .28 guarder bbs the work amazingly well in the p90.
If his g36 is upgraded then there may be a reason that it is more accurate.

DanQuayle October 13th, 2005 19:45

Yeah only get the g36 if you are prepared to upgrade it immediately. Stock it's solid but not that great.

How so?

I'd like some reasoning for that.

DanQuayle October 13th, 2005 20:06

If you've ever fired a G36 it just doesn't seem to go as far or have the groupings of other TM AEGs, especially compared to the P90. I have no scientific proof, it's just from playing.

given they have the asme innerbarrel elngth, and very similar hop-ups, I think its just the G36 you used wasn't tuned properly.

My G36 rocks the pants off my buddie(BP's) P90, which actually used to be yours Allan, so I wouldn't make statements about one being better than the other, they all preform reasonably well stock, then change parts to meet your play style.

mcguyver October 13th, 2005 22:45

just go out and buy about 10 different guns with a shitload of mags and try them all out. it will probably only cost you about 15grand or so. then you'll know. if you don't want to do that then just go to a game and ask to try out about 10 different guns and you will know right away. but hey, the first idea really works and it's way more fun too.
