wanna make one for a tm p226? :D

Tankdude October 3rd, 2005 18:56

Send me the barrel assembly and I'll make one.

I need something to copy off of first.

Captain Tenneal October 3rd, 2005 19:48

Holy crudmonkey, yes please!

I was gonna wait for my familly to go to Hawaii and then could go pick up a Moai one, but depending on the price of these (and them being 14mm +/-), I'd sure like one. :D

RaiNe October 3rd, 2005 22:50

I'm interested in one!

what kind of payment do you take?

Maelstrom October 3rd, 2005 23:04

i might be interested pending pics of first one

automatic45 October 4th, 2005 00:06

You Are My Savior!!!

YES! YES! O LORD YES! I am interested please pm me with the info I have been looking everywhere and can't find it and would really apreciate it!!!!

tomsoderman October 8th, 2005 21:32

i may be interested

ColtFarmer October 8th, 2005 21:36

hey guys, I sent the rest of the barrel assmbly (chamber and such) along to Tankdude a few days ago, so it should'nt be too long now! =)

start buying Socoms...

tomsoderman October 8th, 2005 22:12

if you take emt's i will buy one

Captain Tenneal October 9th, 2005 01:06

So.. Do we have to send the outer barrel assembly and he preforms the modification, or is he going to construct entirely new outer barrels with the threading?

ColtFarmer October 9th, 2005 13:06

new barrels with threading... I sent my parts so he could make a copy...

Tankdude October 13th, 2005 17:08

6 people so far. So i'll make 6-10 pending on stuff.

I have to order a tap in. M13x1 is not standard in most taps set. Go figure.
I might also order in a negative tap so I can make Flash hiders.

I am all set to start making them.

RaiNe October 13th, 2005 19:31

If you decide on making thread protectors for the Para barrels I will be interested in one of those also. Will they be gnarled for easy gripping if you make them?

pokey October 13th, 2005 19:32

Also, Do any of you fellows know if the KJW para barrels are compatible with the WA ones?

if so.. i might be interested.

andregoulet88 October 13th, 2005 19:43

I would be interested in one for a WA para if they are compatible.

Andre

The barrels are easy to change.

Someone is going to have to check. If the WA barrel screws on and off then there is a high likelyhood of them working.

Right now I am building off a KJW P14.

Do I have a volunteer for a tester? If Madmax wants to measure one of his Paras (if he still has them)

pokey October 13th, 2005 22:59

If there is a KJ para at the meet i go to this weekend, i'll scope it out.

I meant if you make the thread protectors will they be gnarled? Guess I wasn't too clear on that, sorry.

ColtFarmer October 14th, 2005 01:05

the KJ is a direct copy of the WA. I see no reason they would not fit. I am ordering a guarder WA chamber for my Para just to make sure. =)

I'm pretty sure he can do anything you want, as long as he has a gnUrling tool and a -14mm tap (which he stated he might get).

ColtFarmer October 14th, 2005 01:35

if we're gonna plit hairs... Knurled.

Maelstrom October 14th, 2005 11:38

WA Para HRT barrels screw on and off, heck forget the thread protectors just unscrew the damned threaded barrel and shove on the normal one when you don't use a silencer. I can't measure the chamber threads though because i have no clue how.

Tankdude October 14th, 2005 13:48

I found a knurling tool in the shop. But I am not making thread protectors. Just do what Maelstrom said.

Tankdude October 19th, 2005 10:23

Updated. Taps are on order and so is the metal stock.

ColtFarmer October 19th, 2005 21:41

can't wait =) thanks again man for the work you are putting in!

walks October 25th, 2005 00:24

put me down for one.
I'm looking to pimp out my gat.....yo

tomsoderman December 1st, 2005 17:59

so are they almost ready?

Tankdude December 1st, 2005 20:30

Still working on the first one. I got the internal threading correct and it fits on the chamber.

Looking to do them up on a CNC machine when I get home in a few weeks. Be quicker and cheaper.

Tankdude March 7th, 2006 11:46

Making some this week.

Will be three in total. I will make more if the demand calls for it.

Captain Tenneal March 7th, 2006 14:09

Woot.. It's only been.. Months :D

Hehe. I still need one.

arny068 March 7th, 2006 14:28

pmed

Carvs March 7th, 2006 15:31

Hey Tank, can you make a custom KJW M92f full threaded barrel for me? If so, how much? Thanks.

Tankdude March 7th, 2006 17:33

I think you can buy a KJW M9 threaded barrel.

I only make what you can't buy.

bundun March 7th, 2006 18:39

i totally forgot about this...could you still make a threaded p226 barrel if i, or someone closer to ns, sent you a barrel? or would it take another 3 months?:P

Maelstrom March 7th, 2006 19:43

Tankdude March 12th, 2006 09:54

Just an update:

7 are in the works.
5 are spoken for.
Coltfarmer is sending me his gun so I can fit each one.

There will be an option of having a sandblast finish or a polished finish.

Sandblast doesn't reflect light, good for combat. Polished is shiney and easy to see.

Tankdude March 16th, 2006 10:40

Got colt's gun. All the barrels fit the chamber perfectly. I have to turn all of them down to fit the slide. Also I am going to polish all of them, just so they go smoother thru the plastic space.

Tankdude March 16th, 2006 16:24

all done

Tankdude March 16th, 2006 18:58

all mailed.

I might have one extra barrel.

I did fubar one up, but the negative thread part is fine. I don't see much use for it, could make an adapter for a Male+14 to male -14, but unless someone does ask for it I am not going make it up.
