Well, there's a guy here that was selling a AEG, I PM'd him, he said sold, fine. He contacted me 2 days after to tell me the selled flaked, fine. I tell him I have the money, and I'm ready to buy.

The guy hasn't logged in since.

I traced him to a local airsoft forum, because I really wanted to give him money. He read the message and never answered.

It was in september. Guess I'll buy something else.

I hate the seller flakery soooo very much, as well, especially on pvt sales. It tends to destroy your schedule with airsofting, too, if you NEED something to be able to play (ex gearbox internals).

I'm gonna be buying an m4 privately here in a bit after i get AV'd and I'm dreading the process.

Back home some guy did this on a frickin air nozzle. Saw him 4 different times at games and he "forgot" it every time. It's like..I'm trying to help you out instead of ordering it new...

I get pissed off when in CQB I shoot somebody and their reaction is to shoot me back and THEN call hit

Fucking word.^

When you want to play so bad but can't because your schedule always conflicts with the field's schedule (which is 40 minutes out of town)... And the only thing you can do is chairsoft.

Yup! That's my issue too.

There was a young guy in our area who had the same issue. He desperately wanted to get into it, but we game on Sundays, have for over a decade. Anyways, one evening at the pub, this guy walks up and introduces himself as this dudes father. He scolded us for not being more available, and not providing evening games, and games that matched up with his son's days off. Then he nearly demanded that we change our schedule, because it didn't work for his kid. Oddly enough, this dude's father was also his boss. Couldn't give his son the odd Sunday off I guess.

I guess that would have taught the kid the wrong lesson.

They should have sent his mom in.

It's actually too bad, he was a pretty square young man. He would've made a great addition to the team. He was also in his twenties though, so the whole father/airsoft intervention thing was a little strange.

Danke November 19th, 2013 17:27

That's the new way. It's going to get a lot worse before it gets better.

Cobrajr122 November 19th, 2013 18:43

wooooow

I hope you told him to pound salt.

Wow, what a pretentious request. At least it made for a good story.

Ricochet November 20th, 2013 12:21

Actually, after he left the pub, he backed into the pickup of a visiting team. That was a mildly humbling experience for him I'm sure.

I hate it when people replace their sold price with SOLD. Leave the damn price so we can see what the transactions where like in the past for current pricing! Plus it's one of the rules!

FirestormX December 4th, 2013 18:54

When people delete the original PM messages when they reply. It makes it difficult to keep track of conversations, especially if the person has taken weeks to reply.
