Lol...this thread is awesome.

Shit that really urks me:

1. People who get shot who refuse to put their gun down and call hit.

2. People who cry about being shot continually after not calling their hit.

3. People that don't pay for gas. They know they owe you money but never cough it up.

4. Friendly fire - Idiots that can't identify a target to save their lives

5. Anyone have that one friend that just isn't sneaky and trips over everything when he's told be be quiet?

6. Darth Vader - there's always one asshole at every game that has a hot Mic and you can never find him.

7. People who hold their gun like a paintball gun...drives me bonkers

8. Giving someone an assignment and they do everything but.

9. Last minute packers. People who never have their shit ready to go the night before and when your ready to leave they need to run back to their house to pick up some things they forgot.

10. Flakers....I hate people who say they are coming then cancel the night before because something came up.

THIS omg Trust me when I say people I remember who doesn't offer gas money for a ride to the game. You will not get another ride from me and I will tell people about how cheap you are. I'm not asking for you to pay for my gas for the day, or to make a profit. I'm asking for some money for A) picking you up and B) using my gas to do so.

And people who don't pack. I went to pick up someone once and when I knocked on there door they literally said "Oh god your here? I uhh, I just started packing."

#5: I fear that's me. I used to be a super nimble light stepper, but in the last 5 years I can break anything around me or manage to hit myself with something. I'm serious...if anyone has any spare plastic wine/juice glasses, PM me plz!

#6: That's soooo funny... lol, "Darth Vader".

edit: I know #6 from playing online games and they never, ever realize it's them. People get annoyed and the laughter ensues.

These really grand my gears
On the topic of clumsy giveaways, the guys who have their finger on the trigger while walking and let off a burst because a bird startled them.

Players who ignore Camo requirements

This seems to be a bit of a hot button on a few spots right now so let's put it this way. Folks who just go to private skrims on crown land or someone's big farm might not get why Camo requirements are in place at large event but if you read the post then it may start to make sense.

You sign up for a large event. You have to pay an entry fee, you have to conform to the requirements of the event organizer to play the game. You and your team wear the right uniform, you pass chrono, you agree to the rules and to call hits on your weapon and to any other unique to the game medic, and MED and re-spawn rules.

You are wearing multicam and your team is blended in with 85 other players from 2 different provinces that you never met prior to the briefing ten minutes ago. You get your briefing and tasks are assigned to your team. You immerse yourself in the game.

A couple hours in you are rolling good, some good kills, you're achieving your tasks and right now you're engaging one of the opposition patrols. You hear voices and movement behind you. You roll your head back and see two players also in multicam to the rear. They give you a wave and a nod. You go back to scanning the front and firing at the enemy.

The 2 players in your team camo roll up to towards you and keep providing covering fire. Then when they're 30 feet away they both light you up in the back.

Do you
A) Feel awe that you taken out by 2 guys with a Spetsnaz like knowledge of tactics who adopted your uniform to infiltrate and engage you? Sure you're dead but it was worth it to be shot by such a worthy foe.

B) Feel pissed?

I don't think I need a poll to see that players who will ignore a game requirement like that are held with the same esteem as those who brush off hits, ignore MEDs and pull all the other shitpump moves in the book.

I'm a little ticked, but It depends, is this a game where your camoflauge dictates your team?

Now something similar happened at Op: Rhino last year 'Navy seals' posing as news media suddenly pulled out weapons and shot russian troops. I don't think that was really all the bad because they never said what team they where on, but signing up for a green team and showing up in tan/MC... is just wrong, Likewise at milsims this is different at Skirms, there should be simple defined teams. At milsims things should be more complex.

Ricochet March 28th, 2012 21:25

Yes, Generally camo defines your team. All the milsims I've attended are as such. Unless the event is very small/invite only. Then you know everyone, but people still try to wear differing camo. I like the idea if two primary camo patterns at a sim, instead of a wash bucket of mixed crap. It's not so bad if there are large groups in different camo. But when you have a few if these and a few of those it gets stupid. That's why it's a good practice for all serious teams to wear the same base camouflage. Mixed and matched drives me nuts to. I saw one guy wearing a woodland tunic, ACU/OCP pants, and a coyote brown chest rig with OD pouches. WTF! They were having trouble deciding where to put him. Lol.

Yeah I believe thats what he was getting at. Weekend scrim sure come in some random Starship Trooper camo, but when you come to a Milsim, be prepared to play on the team with the appropriate camo.

sirtaco27 March 28th, 2012 21:29

He gets the 1337 Rainbow Battalion *sparkle*

The solution to this is to make him a rogue player. While everyone else is doing their objectives he can come in and try to mess them up. At the same time all teams will be gunning for him as well as their opposing team.

For example, green team kills tan + mixed camo guy. Tan team kills green + mixed camo guy. Mixed camo guy does his best not to get killed by everyone.

If I had 80 other players firing on me I'd learn the lesson fast.

Curo March 28th, 2012 21:36

I know just I'd like to have Western Nations Vs Russia/China/Eastern Bloc style matches but that perfect world doesn't exist.

Though Cooneys Asain vs White guys was awesome

JonsM4 March 28th, 2012 21:36

You guys left out the coolest one............ACU!

sirtaco27 March 28th, 2012 21:40

Ah. the camo that strives to do everything while doing nothing.

Right, like this right here with pre-game whining in full force.

Complaining about MED of not "hot" guns.. This game is about purposely shooting each other with bbs, get used to being shot.. no mercy!
