Right at 1m22s of the vid: "We'll keep a slow pace, try to keep up with the command net. They're idiots so it's gonna be you know pretty much no help." Pretty much says everything of that team. Douchabag leader makes for a douchebag team. |

I dunno whom the commanders were so I can't say if the idiot comment was warranted or not :P But listening to the general narration of the guys in the video and their overall attitude, screams assholes. A perfect example is the broken window: they complain they were rebuked for breaking a window in a building scheduled to be demolished; so basically they decided to ignore the rules and do what they want because they felt the situation allowed them to. That's the bottom line right there. |
The well of Haterade runs cold and deep mmm mmm mmm drink up.

Or more to the point, I'm neither a car designer nor an automotive engineer but I can tell a shitty car when I drive one. "Shut up and drive it anyway" is a terribly anti-progressive attitude. Specially for something you're paying for. So point in case, its possible the leadership did suck, and he's entitled to express his opinion if it did. Its also possible the GMR guy was just being a dickhead. But the topic at hand isn't the leadership at whatever event that video was taken: its that their [GMR's] general attitude is asshole-ish. |
there's more and more accounts of this past weekend's game where gmr was off doing stupid shit that they weren't supposed to be doing, IE clearing buildings already cleared and known to be cleared outside the area of operation to make themselves look cool, and when asked to rejoin the rest of the force, the command staff were told to fuck off. In this case, it was Col McKnight they told basically to shove it.
Also from this game were accounts from players that none of the gmr players were calling hits when they breached rooms. Not calling something in the heat of a moment is one thing, to consistently do it game after game and have multiple players from all over the US say they're not calling hits is more than just coincidence. Not to mention personal accounts of people here of gmr players being asshats at previous games. |

And they will get the leadership they deserve. |
Too good to fail is not a unique to airsoft malady.

The berry bushes for example A couple good guys on that team, but a horrible leader who actually instructed them to cheat. |
Airsoft is a tough place for leadership. I see way to many people rise to the top solely based on the size of their mouth. Eventually they wind up in a situation where being a blowhard isn't a tactical advantage and it all falls apart.
They're never humble enough to admit what they did wrong. Instead they blame the other team, the rules, the admin, the weather and they keep on running off. For airsoft leadership the very first step is example. If you don't have that down to a T then time is running out faster than you think. |
