Marker? what is this paintball? People usually refer to airsoft "weapons" as guns

We call them AEGs and not markers.

I prefer using a NVS instead of a hand held/ head mounted unit. I want to be able to shoot accurately in the night. I listen for noises or go where there is fighting and hopefully, I'll be able to pick guys off before they run into me.

There is a trick in using a head mounted monocular NV. Position it on your weaker eye and aim with the non NVed eye. Your brain will see one picture like it's looking through a scope. You'll need to get use to it first. My friend says it works.

If you got the money, you can get a NV Moncular or something an get a IR pointer/laser mounted onto your weapon(like a PAQ4).

That way you can see where you are going(sucks walking into things when its pitchblack out, etc) an still be able to aim your weapon.

I've got a set of binoculars that you wear on yoru head. they work awesome for indoor CQB fights. I have yet to field them outdoors but so far I'm in love with the set I've got. take a bit of getting used to becuase you do have a narrower field of view ... and becuase of the focus you have a limited depth of view but I set one eye for further away then the other eye to get around this. the image your brain sees mixes these two and works pretty well overall.

Unless you play at very rare night games, not worth it.
Please read a lot.

WAIT WAIT WAIT, there's GTA night games?

when and where?

MadMorbius January 19th, 2006 14:32

All the time. Check the Games section.

Funny...a lot of people go for that "specops" look and hang IR tags off their equipment. It's funny because when we use our NVG, they light up like a christmas tree, while it does nothing for the naked eye. In other words, it does the opposite of what it's supposed to do by providing IFF in OUR favor.
