Nozzle is probably going to break given that it is aluminum.. Ill still test it though :)

looks nice... lets see how it performs ;)

Sold where?

I've broken my share of plastic nozzles. This would be a welcome enhancement if it works.

Where did you find this? Do they make one for the SCAR?

eKirts December 9th, 2011 16:48

I believe its not released yet...

Ok I have 2 problems, I haven<t found anything on it so sorry if it was asked already.

My trigger pin is really lose, when I got it out of the box today, it fell out of the ejection port :/

And also, when I point my gun down, say I'm chrono-ing my gun while aiming at the garbage can, often the gun will shoot and a second BB will roll out of the barrel.

Is it just a matter of tuning in more the hopup? (Haven,t touched it yet)

Thanks!

this was posted Dec last year, any news on this thing? I've searched every corner of the RA-Tech web site and find nothing, or this is not RA-tech's product?

Taiwan 2012 HOOHA SHOW PART 4/4 - YouTube

It's RA-Tech design

alumionium nozzle is a definitely want, but the way it set fps reminds me of WA style NPAS which was prone to self adjust due to recoil causing the fps to go down (even if you change mags) the only fix was use loctite, but that would remove the npas capability.

I really hope the nozzle is in an affordable price range. The WE steel bolt carrier was hopefully it is too. (WA system had the bolt carrier at $120 -Typical highend in WA, and $140 (not a typo) for the nozzle. The nozzle being at such a high price was a deal murderer.

I'm hoping the price would be around $30-50. $30 for a cast&CNC design $50 for billet CNC. I understand the main cost is the CNC (there's probably atleast 50 programmed steps in the cnc process.

Boyso February 12th, 2012 14:23

Could it be run on a stock bolt or it would require the steel one?

turok_t February 12th, 2012 14:34

ill get one from RAtech to try out..

T@NK February 12th, 2012 23:49

Losing the npas capacity is not a big deal to me... I'll just buy 2 of them, set one to 350 fps and the other to 420fps, then loctite them...in the worst case scenario. question is: when and how much... I've already broke 2 of the plastic nozzle, fucking pain in the ass to buy and replace.

Has anyone had issues with the nozzle assembly not really sliding smoothly in the bolt carrier? I think that may be the cause of some of the problems my G39 is having...

My nozzle goes to a point where when you pull the charging handle, the nozzle is stuck half way... and it does it every single time. A friend told me to shave some material off on the nozzle (the top and sides where it slides into the bolt carrier), I haven't tried it but see if that works.

I'm waiting for the Ra-tech metal nozzles to see if it makes a difference.

The nozzle not fully retracting can result when your nozzle return spring is warped or extended from continuous stretching. I would strongly check the spring first before shaving anything off the nozzle.

In regards to the RAtech metal nozzle, im in contact with Ratech already and will let you guys know the release date, it is supposed to be sometime in February 2012. Although the metal nozzle seems nice, do note that the RA-Tech nozzle is aluminum, which means it is more brittle, and more prone to shattering compared to the stock plastic nozzle which has some degree of flexibility and give. Any misalignment of the nozzle or hop up chamber and the teeth/front tip of the nozzle will crack. This might be an expensive investment/fix.

There's no functional issue with the nozzle not retracting all the way...even "stuck out" it'll retract far enough to chamber the next BB.

However...if it's bugging you, you'll need to see where it's binding and modify the parts for a bit more spacing/tolerance. But if it's functioning...I wouldn't bother.
