Socom's Les Baer 1911

It's not an exact Baer replica... but then again I can't really complain on how much they cost locally :)

Who's the OEM on that bad boy?

noypi May 12th, 2012 10:34

Made by KJW. As with their other line up... the customary "Made in Taiwan KJWorks" is also engraved into the frame.

I picked one up as well. Gee willikers are they an awesome little gun. EDIT: Really straight shooter and completely TM compatible. The only things I can foresee me replacing is the ambi safety (right hand side wobble... and I hate ambi safety), and the sear set, even then, only if something acts up, as of right now, it's pretty perfect.

Nice!
It's basically the KP-07 MEU with some cosmetic changes and new trademarks.
Great that they're TM compatible. Really nice guns.
My MEU before the SD slide swap. Sorry for bad photo, but it's the only one before the slide was changed.

if i may leave some input here. i jus bought the les bear model also from evike. mag barely works right out of the box with propane. barely gets 10rds out.
front sight fell off and is lost. mag release gets stuck sometimes.
came with 2 sets of grips. evike deleted my review 2x ;(

so aprt from that. has anyone tried different sights on that same gun?
any RS version sights? are they dovetail sights?
the grips i see for my (co2 version) have rounded indents on the bottom inside.
so normal grips woudl have to be sanded down and shaved to have a cylendr shape in them to fit.
my .02

I love the finish on this kit!

Strelok May 20th, 2012 14:11

Hey guys. Getting a KJW MEU soon, clear frame though. Any idea if its compatible with any other brands or KJW specific?

Disco_Dante May 20th, 2012 14:30

it's TM compatible

Strelok May 20th, 2012 14:38

Oh yeah? So I could slip a TM metal frame on it? Nice!

I have one..but it's COMPLETELY dissassembled and there's no hellish relish way to get it back to normal status

I should check threads like this more often...

Both are TM, the green one was a Foliage Warrior courtesy of Illusion, the A1 was just a stock A1 Govt.
