You'll have to check with the admin for the game you're going to attend. To my knowledge, paintball goggles/mask is always acceptable any where. Some other field will allow ballistic glasses & goggles, some will allow CSA/ANSI rated glasses. Always check the the admin/game orginizer to be sure.

I could most likely convince them to bring me to some kind of game to see, and yes of course I have a mask :P. If a paintball one will work. If not I can always buy another one.

Any paintball approved goggles will work at any field. You should bring a parent out to the game, I'm sure they will understand.
You can't judge something where you haven't tried it. :)
Give it a shot. There are a few of underage members on this forum that can participate in events too, well trusted, and earned their way of being there like myself.
You started off on this forum right, and your attitude shows you have a better chance getting into the games.
Meet up with the hosts, have talks and meet with the players there, and I'm sure it will get you closer.

Sure, keep an eye on the Ontario Games and Events. Once the nicer weather comes there will probably be monthly games at Wasaga Paintball. Come out with your parents, talk to the airsofters their, and they'll see it's not an evil sport!

Thanks for the Encouragement guys. I was afraid of getting flamed for being younger then 18. I'm guilty for that though, I get a little over the top when I find out someone has been playing on Public Grounds with airsoft guns. That kinda stuff can just ruin what we have going on. What would be cool is if someone could put together an airsoft documentary kinda thing and somehow (i know the difficulty, time and money required for this) get some news station to play a portion of it. Get the airsofter's side of it on the news.

I probably don't know the full thing going on, lots of information to pull together so if this is outright just stupid or possibly damaging let me know :p

As cool as that might be, a lot of people here are quite happy with how Airsoft is isolated from the view of the general public, from what I understand at least. It may attract a lot of "unwanted" attention.

Yea that's what I was worried about when I thought of that. Too many "soccer moms" out there that will take it in the wrong way, think its just an excuse to use weapons and shoot each other. I remembering reading an article somewhere where some parents wrote a petition against airsoft, thinking that parts could be switched on the guns to make them fire real bullets....lmao XD

It put in the wrong thing by accident, trust me I think i've sayed I'm too young, too many times already on this topic for anyone to think I'm any older :P. I'll go fix that right nwo.

Looks like I can't fix that =/ Unfortunately So I'll hid my age for now, so there's no further confusion.

You could try contacting an admin to change it for you... admins on other forums typically will (if your reason is valid) so I don't see why they wouldn't here.

Where exactly do you live in Barrie? I'm turning 18 in April and it would be nice to have someone else who is new to airsoft to tag along with.

I live in Letitia Heights area. What school do you go to? We might go to the same one?

PM'd.

Forget the Modify 110 spring and go with either a 90 or a 100 (I've made AK's shoot 370fps and nicely with the 100 and a bearing spring guide). Avoid getting close to 400fps, it serves no purpose other than to prevent you form playing, or from having shitty performance. It's a limit, not a goal. And a 100 will be nicer to your battery life as well.

As far as your age and wanting to upgrade, I don't give a shit about it, you listen to the advice given to you about upgrades, all fine by me. The way you act on the field is attached to that, and I think vets running 400fps AEGs is dumb too, 360-380fps is the best performance area anyways. Case in point, all last year I ran my MP5 at 400fps for the first time ever, and found it's range and accuracy suffered. MP5SD with 300mm tightbore etc. Some guns run fine, but others don't, and still, an extra 10-30fps doesn't make a shit of difference for performance. You'll get a huge difference if you go from 0.25g to 0.28g outdoors. If you shoot only 0.20g.................. a million fps boost in your AEG won't imporve things at all.

Upgrade the player and the ammo first, then work on the gun.
