Such a pretty slide... bet it cost you a pretty penny!

Not bad, it's just the lurking you have to do for it to come back into stock.

Hey E luder. What have you heard about stark arms G18c? I have the chance to pick one up at a fair price but in non working condition.

Thanks,

Jordan

From what I've been able to glean; Stark Arms is a shell company tied to VFC set up to sell Glocks with trademarks but if they get sued they'd be able to fold up and vanish. The quality is supposed to be really nice but maybe not 100% TM compatible.

^ What Danke said.

I've only handled one of these from Stark in the past. It was the G18c version.
The parts are not 100% TM compatible. THe front chassis is different from the marui system, IIRC. It has a different rail for the slide from what I can remember so I don't know if an afermarket slide will be ok to fit without some mods.

Though the slide assembly seems to be quite similar to the TM design. I think they even "borrowed" TM's hop up design. I've had a chance to do some magazine compatibility tests as well. And the gun won't take lightly to using other mags other than the stock ones. ARMY mags jams the slide and the TM mags have a slight misalignment with the firing pin and blowoff valve causing it to sometimes lightstrike.

They kick hard though and is fairly decent in terms of accuracy even on stock. I think the the Guarder frames can be swapped into the thing. THough I'm not 100% sure on that.

What the matter with the gun?

jordan7831 November 29th, 2012 13:14

Its a gun that has firing problems but the guy hasnt given me a detailed description of them. It does have some nice upgrade in it though.

Hmm might pass on it then. I already have enough projects on the bench.

But we shall see,

Thanks Rock!

I'll fix it!!
:):):):):)

jordan7831 November 29th, 2012 13:32

Haha maybe, I dont know what to do now!!

I'll see what the guy has to say the problem is. Im soo tempted to take a look at it.

Edit: Guy said that the slide doesnt blow back enough to re cock the hammer. Anyone want to make predictions?

I've been lurking this thread for a few weeks now and finally decided to sign up.

Does anyone know where I could get front and rear sights for the marui g18c?

Will the tanio koba twist g17 barrel work with the g18?

Broken Piston head maybe? Broken Muzzle? There could be a lot of issues that may cause this...
